Diary of Wedding Dress Conditioning
As some of you know, I unexpectedly found my wedding dress a few weeks back. I went to the store with my mom and sister and ended up finding "the one." It is gorgeous and seriously my style. I can't wait to wear it.....a year and a half from now.
With having a wedding dress comes great responsibility- to look good in that dress for those pictures that are truly going to last the rest of my life.
I'm on day 32 of tracking food every day and working out more and here is a collection of thoughts I've had over the past 32 days:
-F this, I'm hungry, where is the pizza?
-Dammit, I live with Spencer now, he's totally going to notice if I eat pizza
-Okay, whole wheat waffle and nutella it is
-Yeah, this looks like a table spoon of nutella.....
-Yeah bodypump tonight! This will be fun!
-Am I dead? Is this real life? Are my legs moving? Someone carry me out of this gym
-Oh my god, my body has never been more sore in my life
-I deserve a pizza
-Spencer doesnt want pizza
-I'll just make a pizza quesadilla
-and have an oreo
-or three
-A new day! I'm going to stick to my goals today
-Okay, who's the asshole (hero) that brought in brownies to work?!
-They smell good
-They taste even better
-Gotta run an extra mile for this
-At least when I run I get to watch cable.
-I miss cable
-Oh those crazy Kardashians! What?! It's only been 10 minutes?!
-Hey, the scale budged! I CAN still eat pizza and lose weight! SCORE!
-I should have a victory glass of wine
-What is that thing i feel in my arm? Oh a tricep!
-RAWR I AM HULK!
-Now that ive lost 2.6 pounds and have a tricep when i flex, I should probably have a slice of pizza
-Is that my butt? What?! That's not all fat there! Oh wow!
-By god, this whole eating less and working out thing is legit!
Mostly, I've been giving myself indulge nights, but making healthier variations of my favorite foods. The amount of pizza quesadillas I make in a week is shocking, but they are better than the papa johns I was living on before.
I won't lie, this kind of sucks, but I feel like I'm doing something good for my body, and I'm not just losing weight by cutting calories. The scale is definitely moving really slow and it can be discouraging, but I am still noticing a difference in my body, which is all I really want.
I have 7 days until Costa Rica (where I'm sure I will cheat.....don't judge, you would too!) and 96 days until my engagement pictures. My hope is that by the time engagement pictures roll around I'll be close to happy with myself. My goal is to be where I'd like to be by December so I can focus next year on maintaining my weight for the wedding- especially because I'll be in crunch time by then.
Good news? I bought my dress a size bigger than I am NOW, so hopefully I won't be eating pure lettuce the week before my wedding regardless :)
